The purpose of the Glenmary Sisters youth program is to give Catholic youth groups an opportunity to answer their baptismal call to be missionaries.  Each mission trip is customized in that you can select which mission area and what type project will be the most beneficial for your group.

For over 30 years, the Glenmary Farm and Glenmary Home Missioners have been an intergral part of life in Lewis County, one of the poorest counties in Kentucky. The work of Farm volunteers has had a tremendous impact on this area and has earned the respect and support of the local community where, until recent years, anti-Catholic sentiment still ran high. The Glenmary Farm volunteer program is designed for groups of Catholics 16 and older. All volunteers must be at least high school juniors. Besides groups from high schools and colleges, we also accept parish youth and young-adult groups. Responsible adult chaperones or advisors must accompany each group.

Quite simply, our purpose is to provide life-changing, Christ-centered youth mission opportunities. This is our reason for being. We create extraordinarily fun and significant mission adventures, targeted to the needs and capabilities of youth, ages 12-19. By crossing borders of race and culture, and by placing students outside their comfort zones, we find something wonderful happens: God gets their attention! Without the distractions of everyday life, God uses YouthWorks to work in the lives of thousands of teenagers.
